The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are set to debut soon, and reports indicate that Samsung will launch them at the same price point as the previous generation.
It’s never fully clear if Samsung, or any other OEM for that matter, will increase the price of its devices when the next generation comes around. The Galaxy S25 series launched with similar price points for each device as the Galaxy S24 series, even though it was expected that the next generation of Galaxy devices would be introduced at a higher cost.
According to a post on Twitter/X from @PandaFlashPro, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 may launch in most regions at the same price as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The post notes that “few” countries will see price increases, so changes are clearly on the table. Unfortunately, it can’t be ruled out that Samsung won’t increase prices at the last minute.
This rumor doesn’t take into account the possibility of added tariffs. President Trump at one point announced that Samsung devices would be subject to a 25% tariff built abroad and sold in the US. It’s unclear whether or not that motion will stick, though it could mean a potential price increase of around 30-40%.
The above rumor disregards this, and in the event that there are no tariffs, Samsung is reportedly not planning to raise the price of its next-gen foldable. Still, the introduction of tariffs could mean Samsung passes the cost onto customers.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to launch during the summer. That announcement aligns with rumors that the foldable phones will be announced in July.
