Gemini app ‘Pro’ users getting Veo 3 trial on Android & iOS, AI Ultra now in 73 countries

Following last week’s launch at I/O 2025, Google is expanding access to Veo 3 in the Gemini app and Flow, while the Google AI Ultra subscription is coming to more subscribers.

At launch, Veo 3 was just available for Google AI Ultra subscribers.

Now, if you have Google AI Pro ($19.99 per month), the Gemini app on Android and iOS will let you generate 10 Veo 3 videos that can feature sound (background noise, dialogue, and more). At the moment, that limit does not reset and you will go back to Veo 2 afterwards.

This so-called trial pack came to gemini.google.com last week and is now starting to roll out on mobile. Select “Video” in the redesigned prompt bar to get started. When Veo 3 is rolled out, you’ll see the following:

  • Veo 3 (preview): Bring ideas to life in an 8-second video. You’re the director, so describe a scene or add details like visual style.

This limited Google AI Pro access to Veo 3 is also coming to the Flow AI filmmaking tool.

Meanwhile, like with images, Google is adding a visible watermark to all generated videos starting today. The only exception is generations in Flow if you’re a Google AI Ultra subscriber.

All generated content from Google has an invisible SynthID watermark. At I/O, the company announced a SynthID Detector tool on the web that will let people upload content to check if there’s a watermark. This is currently available for early testers, with access expanding soon.

Finally, Google is continuing to let more people around the world subscribe to Google AI Ultra ($249.99/month in the US) with a launch in the UK today. It’s now available in 73 countries:
