Samsung’s first beta for One UI 8, based on Android 16, is right around the corner, and it really seems like it could live at any moment as the company is detailing a new sign-up process.
It’s been rumored that Samsung would be launching its first One UI 8 beta in May. Those rumors seem to be coming true, as the company’s website revealed evidence that the beta is right around the corner, and now the hints are just becoming stronger.
The Samsung Members app has today popped up a new notice for users around the globe showing a “new update for beta program.” The notice details that Samsung is changing how its One UI beta programs work going forward. Specifcally, there will be a new dedicated “beta program” section at the bottom of the Samsung Members homepage, whether a beta program is active or not. That makes it significantly easier to check, as Samsung previously just slipped a banner into the top bar that could easily be overlooked.
This new page also shows what beta test you are a part of, if any, and displays “Beta tips.”
The new page is already live in most countries, but the One UI 8 beta program is not yet live. With all of this preparation complete, though, it’s likely to go live any day now – really at any moment.
Stay tuned!
