AAWireless TWO+ brings wireless Android Auto and CarPlay, limited sales now open

AAWireless makes it easy to add wireless Android Auto to your car, and now AAWireless TWO+ is getting its first release with support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

AAWireless was the first adapter for wireless Android Auto when it launched in 2021. After two years, a revamped device hit the market a few months ago in AAWireless TWO, but it also came with the promise that another device, AAWireless TWO+, would launch with CarPlay support later on.

The initial Q1 release window was missed, unfortunately, but now this device is finally taking a firm step towards release.

A limited number of AAWireless TWO+ units are going on sale via Indiegogo – the platform that initially brought AAWireless to market – for early adopters. The reason for this limited launch, the company explains, is to “gather verified compatibility data from real users” before wider sales open up.

AAWireless explains:

Although the TWO+ was extensively tested, the company is now calling on its Indiegogo backers to help validate its versatility on a global scale. With a limited amount of 3,000 units available, this campaign serves to verify compatibility data across a wider range of vehicles and head units, while giving early adopters the chance to be among the first to own the most advanced adapter AAWireless has created to date. “By launching on Indiegogo, we can gather verified compatibility data from real users early on,” says Chiel Prins, co-founder of AAWireless. “This feedback helps us fine-tune the firmware and deliver the best possible experience. It’s a core part of how we develop our products.”

There’s no date just yet on when this updated device will be available to the general public, but these initial 3,000 units will likely sell out quite quickly.

The device will, as mentioned, support both Android Auto and CarPlay with a multifunction button able to switch between paired Android phones and iPhones. These initial devices will also still get firmware updates over time, including whatever improvements may come from feedback from these early adopters.
