Like on Android phones, Samsung will be responsible for the Quick Share experience on its Windows PCs.
With the latest update to the Quick Share Windows app, Google has introduced compatibility with Samsung’s Quick Share application.
Meanwhile, on Samsung laptops, Google will be deprecating its application in favor of the Samsung version. On May 28, the “Google Quick Share app on Samsung PCs will redirect the user to install the Quick Share app from Samsung.”
Work to streamline this has been in progress since early 2024, with Samsung originally targeting Q3 2024 for compatibility.
