Motorola Razr (2025) and Razr+ launching in May from $699

Alongside the flagship Razr Ultra, Motorola is launching 2025 refreshes for its base Razr and the Razr+, which are largely unchanged and carry the same price points.

Launching May 15, Motorola Razr (2025) and Motorola Razr+ (2025) are mostly just recycled versions of last year’s phones. Neither device has significant changes, though. One change you’ll find on both is IP48 dust/water resistance, where the prior two generations have not featured any dust resistance.

The base Razr (2025) brings a better MediaTek Dimensity 7400x chipset that brings better power efficiency and slightly better performance (especially for on-device AI) paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also gets a bigger 4,500 mAh battery, but remains the same otherwise. The outer display is the smallest of the lineup at 3.6-inches, and the inner 6.9-inch display is unchanged and limited to 120Hz. The main camera is a 50MP sensor backed up by a 13MP ultrawide/macro camera and a 32MP selfie camera on the inner display.

Colors for the Razr (2025) include Spring Bud, Gibraltar Sea, Parfait Pink, and Lightest Sky.

Meanwhile, Razr+ (2025) is virtually unchanged from last year. It has the same Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The inner display is a 6.9-inch 165Hz panel while the outer display is a 4-inch panel that can also hit 165Hz. The battery in this model is the smallest of the bunch at just 4,000 mAh (compared to 4,500 mAh on Razr and 4,700 mAh on Razr Ultra), but charging is still 45W.

Colors on Razr+ (2025) include Mocha Mousse, Midnight Blue, and Hot Pink.

Razr (2025) will be available on May 15 for $699.99, while Razr+ (2025) will be $999.99 when it launches on the same date. Motorola Razr Ultra will cost $1,299.99. Both devices ship with Android 15 and get 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of bi-monthly security updates.
