After multiple delays halted the process, Samsung has gone down the list of devices that need One UI 7. It appears the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are now getting the One UI 7 update in Korea, with more regions to come.
Last week, Samsung posted a new schedule indicating that some devices would get another delay in terms of receiving One UI 7. The new list didn’t change a whole lot, and many devices were still set to receive the update in the same original month. However, it looked like everything was pushed back just a bit.
On time somewhere, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are reportedly now getting One UI 7 (via SamMobile). The update is appearing in Korea for the time being, though that won’t be the case for much longer, and other regions should expect the update shortly. The updated schedule shows that the two devices were set to be updated in May, and that could still be the case for the US, though Europe will likely come first.
At this point, it may be worth taking the update schedule with a grain of salt. As updates come out, they’ll be covered like the one for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, which is an indicator that the device will soon be updated in all regions where applicable.
It’s also worth noting that if you’re using a Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Flip 4, you should expect the One UI 7 update in May. That could change, but it seems that the current estimate for the foldable is next month.
You can download the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 update by going to Settings > Software update.
