Samsung now sells replacement Galaxy Ring charging cases for $90

Samsung is now offering a replacement (or spare) charging case for the Galaxy Ring, but it costs a hefty $90.

The Galaxy Ring launched last year and, in the months following its debut, a number of users took to the web regarding a replacement charger. For a while, it seems, the only option was to contact Samsung support for a replacement.

In the past few weeks, Samsung has quietly launched a readily available replacement Galaxy Ring charging case.

Samsung’s store started selling these replacement cases for the Ring in the first week of March, we’ve confirmed, while Amazon and Best Buy also stock the cases. Each case is specific to the size of Galaxy Ring you own and costs $89.99, though Amazon does discount some sizes by a few dollars.

With Galaxy Ring being a $400 purchase, a $90 cost for a charger replacement certainly stings, but it may be worth it for the sake of having a spare around. Presumably, Samsung would still replace a faulty charger for free, but these readily available replacements are also easier and faster to obtain in the event someone simply loses their charger.
