Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge reportedly delayed as far as June at the last minute

The Galaxy S25 Edge has been rumored to launch in April for quite some time now, but the thin smartphone has apparently been hit with a delay at the last minute which could push the release date back to May or June of this year.

It’s been widely reported – and from multiple sources – that Samsung has been planning to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge around April 15. But, seemingly at the last-minute given the timing of the news, Samsung has apparently delayed the Galaxy S25 Edge launch.

The delay, as ETNews brings out, will likely push the Galaxy S25 Edge launch date to May or June 2025. Leakers Ice Universe and Max Jambor report similar timelines.

The cause of this delay isn’t exactly clear – though it’s apparently not due to quality issues – but one report says that there was an internal “need to reexamine the schedule.” This would also shift the release from an in-person event to an online-only event which would include a “teaser video” alongside the price, specs, and release date.

A June launch date for the Edge would put it just weeks ahead of Samsung’s next foldable launch, expected in July 2025.
