Galaxy S25 Edge leak confirms the tiny battery of Samsung’s ultra-thin phone

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge is a confusing device largely because of its alleged battery size, and now a new leak confirms the tiny capacity of the power cell.

New regulatory listings spotted by The Tech Outlook all but confirm that the Galaxy S25 Edge will have a battery capacity of around 3,900 mAh. The UL Demko database posted battery details for cells destined for the Galaxy S25 Edge which measure in at 3,786 mAh. That lines up with the rumored 3,900 mAh capacity of the Galaxy S25 Edge’s battery.

Previously, other certification listings showed charging speeds of 25W, the same as the base Galaxy S25.

That small battery is due to the mere 5.84mm thickness of the Galaxy S25 Edge, even though other brands have shown that it’s now possible to squeeze a much bigger battery inside. Namely, Tecno showed off the “Spark Slim” at MWC 2025 last week with a 5,200 mAh battery in a device just 5.75mm thick.
