Android 15 QPR2 Beta to stable ‘No Data Wipe’ OTA rolling out

Following the wide release on Tuesday, Android 15 QPR2 Beta 3 users are now being offered the stable “Android Beta Exit No Data Wipe” OTA update.

After Android 15 QPR2 Beta 3’s release in late January, testers that did not want to join the Android 16 Beta were advised to opt out of the Android Beta Program.

Since then, they’ve been inundated with the “Android Beta Program” notification every few hours giving them the option to leave the Android Beta Program (and return to Android 15 QPR1 stable) but at the expense of wiping their device.

As of Thursday afternoon, we’re now seeing the “Android Beta Exit No Data Wipe” OTA. The Android 15 QPR2 stable update is just under 15 MB on a Pixel 6 Pro.

Go to Settings > System > Software updates > System update and confirm the “No Data Wipe” title before starting the install process. You might need to restart your phone to trigger/refresh that screen.

There’s nothing in the stable release that you haven’t already been using in the beta. Those on Beta 3 did not get a February 2025 security patch.
