Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen pre-release versions of Android 5.0 running on a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5. Today, however, we’ll be taking a look at Google’s new mobile operating system on a Galaxy Note 3. Described as a rough draft of the Android 5.0, this alleged internal build of Lollipop for Samsung’s king-size smartphone should help give an idea what’s in store for owners of this popular handset.
Still skinned with TouchWiz, the software looks similar to previous Lollipop ports for Samsung’s devices with slight tweaks added to accommodate the company’s in-house software. For example, the updated UI adopts some of Google’s Material Design by introducing new animations layered with the firm’s signature blue hue. The updated Multi-Window feature found in the Galaxy Note 4 also appears to be present and will reportedly be added to its predecessor after it’s updated to Android 5.0.

There’s no word when Galaxy Note 3 owners can expect to receive this refreshed operating system, however it’s been rumored that Samsung’s S5 will be updated sometime next month. If this claim holds true, we’d expect the company’s third-generation phablet to make the jump to Android 5.0 soon after its smaller counterpart.
